Friars of the local community able to adequately respond to alleviate 41 families staying in and around Pakallipallam Chundale from the immediate and impending deprivation of medicines and essential provisions.
The majority of them are auto drivers or daily wage earners, our beneficiaries include widows with young children or young families with sick and aged parents, or families that have sick, handicapped, mentally children to look after and those whose source of income dried up with the lockdown and were badly in need of food and medicines.
The support was extended as per the need an average of rupees 3500 worth help was made available – the Maximum help extended was 5000 rupees worth medical help and provisions – the minimum being 2000 rupees worth essential provisions.
We reached out to 13 Hindu families, 9 Muslim families and 19 Christian families in all.
