Inauguration of second year theology 13th of June, 2021

The Inaugural ceremony of the second year of theology began with lightning of the lamp and with Mass. The main celebrant of the day was friar Gabriel Mathias along with two other friars, Praveen D'Souza, the provincial and Augustine Pinto. The inaugural academic speech was given by friar Baptist D'Souza at the beginning of the mass. It was wonderful celebration with a lot of meaning and though it was simple it was nevertheless grand. During the Mass we remembered all our departed brothers who were the victims of the Covid pandemic and other sicknesses.

The celebration was subdued following the Covid protocols. Father guardian, Gabriel Mathias briefed us on how to go about the celebration of the day. The Covid protocol was observed strictly without any aberrations. On the same day, the 13th of June, 2021, we also celebrated the feast of Saint Anthony of Padua. It was the house feast of St Anthony's Friary, Bangalore. There was no program at all like, games, recreation, having fun and being together with the friars. It was subdued, simple and with lots of meaning. We kept in mind the suffering humanity and all our departed brothers. Friar guardian, Gabriel Mathias thanked all the friars of Saint Anthony's friary, Bangalore, remembering all of them in our prayers.
