12 April 2026, Madurai: A three-day vocation camp was successfully conducted from 10th to 12th April 2026 under the guidance of the Vocation Promoters of Tamil Nadu, Br. Jesu Raja, Br. Jesu Maharaja, and Br. Alphonse Velankanni, together with Br. Irudayaraj, Guardian of Punitha Anthoniyar Illam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu. The camp was organized for students who had completed their 10th and 12th standard examinations. It was held at Punitha Anthoniyar Illam, Madurai, with the participation of 11 students from various districts of Tamil Nadu.
Each day began with Morning Prayer and the Holy Eucharist, followed by breakfast, manual work, informative classes, and other formative activities. All the participants took part with devotion, enthusiasm, and active involvement.
The camp featured three main sessions focused on Vocation, Franciscanism, and Spirituality. These sessions were meaningfully conducted by Br. Irudayaraj, Br. Jesu Raja, and Br. Jesu Maharaja respectively.
Brs. Andrew and Antony played an important role in organizing the prayer services and conducting ice-breaking sessions. These activities helped the participants to get to know one another better and fostered a spirit of unity and friendship among them. Br. Anthony (Postulant), and Brs. Seemon and Nishant (Aspirants) also supported the friars and contributed to the smooth conduct of the camp.
The camp came to a joyful conclusion with an outing to Science Park, Thirunagar, Keeladi Museum, and Idaikattur Church. The entire camp was marked by a spirit of fraternity, prayer, and discernment, providing the participants with a meaningful and enriching experience.
